Frequently asked questions.
What is a customer meeting prep agent?
It is a Trig agent set up to prepare you for each meeting with an existing customer. In this configuration, the agent prepares the evening before each customer meeting on your calendar and refreshes the prep at 7:30 AM on the day. The agent shows what changed since you last met, checks whether each side did what it promised, and suggests up to three points to raise.
How does Trig know what each side promised?
Agents can be configured to read the transcript of your last meeting with the account and pick out each thing your team said it would do and each thing the customer asked for. The agent then looks for evidence in email, support tickets, and CRM tasks, and marks each one done, not done, or unanswered. A promise with no evidence either way is marked unanswered. Without a transcript, the prep says the promises are unknown.
What does Trig include in a customer meeting brief?
In this template, the agent is configured to deliver a one-screen prep for each meeting that meets your targeting conditions. It opens with the contract value, days to the notice date, usage against the account’s usual level, and tickets waiting on your team. Then it gives up to three points to raise, what changed since you last met, what each side promised and whether it happened, and who is coming and which key people are missing. Every fact carries its source and date.
Will the agent contact the customer or update the CRM?
No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the agent reads your records and sends the prep only to the customer success manager. It writes nothing to the CRM, and your team decides what to raise and how to follow up.
What does the agent need access to?
The calendar event and your last meeting with the account, the CRM account with renewal dates and contacts, and email with the account’s contacts. The last meeting’s transcript, support tickets, and product usage data add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.
Can we change how the template works?
Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.
How long does it take to set up this template?
A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your customer meetings.
