How it works

What the agent does when a business review is booked.

Ten working days before a booked business review, the agent drafts the value story against the customer’s goals, plus private notes with likely hard questions.

  1. 01

A business review is coming up.

Trig finds each business review booked with your accounts and drafts the pack 10 working days before it.

  2. 02

    Agent gathers data & evidence.

The success plan, earlier reviews and their commitments, usage this period and last, calls, emails, tickets, and the renewal date and value.

  3. 03

    Agent builds the review pack.

Sets out each goal with its status and evidence, names the misses your team owns, and writes private notes with likely hard questions.

  4. 04

    You review and decide.

Edit the pack, decide what to present, and choose whether to hold the review or move it.

Configuration

How this agent manages business review prep.

The data and records the agent needs access to in order to deliver the work, and where you want it delivered.

How this agent manages business review prep.

  • What it reads

The review booking, usage for this period and the last, and the CRM account with its renewal date and contacts. A success plan, calls, emails, tickets, and earlier reviews add context where available. Without recorded goals, the pack offers a labeled usage summary.

  • Where the work lands

Full draft pack on Trig, with the private notes kept apart, delivered as a direct message in your internal chat, such as Slack, 10 working days before the review.

  • Your decisions

Your team edits the pack, decides what to present, and chooses whether to hold the review. Trig describes each result without claiming more than the evidence supports. Agents access only records you allow and carry out only actions you approve.

Output

What the agent hands your team.

The customer’s goals, what happened against each, and your team’s misses, with private notes, ready to edit and present in just a few clicks.

  1. 1Lead. What the pack can show, and what it still needs.
  2. 2Usage. A summary of usage, labeled as such until the goals are known.
  3. 3Misses. What your team owns that the customer already knows.
  4. 4Private notes. Checks, hard questions, and sore points for the CSM only.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is a QBR preparation agent?

It is a Trig agent set up to prepare each quarterly business review (QBR). In this configuration, the agent drafts the pack 10 working days before each business review booked with your accounts. The agent sets out the customer’s goals and what happened against each, names the misses your team owns, and adds private notes for the customer success manager.

How does Trig know what the customer set out to achieve?

Agents can be configured to read the success plan, notes from earlier reviews, call transcripts, and emails. In this template, each goal is given in the customer’s own words, with where it was stated and its status. Without a success plan, goals come from recorded calls and are marked to confirm, and if none are found the pack offers a labeled usage summary. A status is given only where the evidence supports one, and each result is described without claiming more than the evidence supports.

What does the QBR pack include?

In this template, the agent is configured to deliver a draft review pack for each booked review that meets your targeting conditions. It opens with the clearest result the customer can repeat to their leadership, or with what the pack can’t yet show. Then it covers each goal, the commitments from the last review, the misses your team owns with their fixes, and what comes next, plus private notes with likely hard questions.

Will the agent send the pack or discuss price with the customer?

No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the pack stays with the customer success manager to edit and present, and the private notes are kept apart. The pack gives no price, discount, renewal terms, or chance of renewal.

What does the agent need access to?

The review booking, product usage for this period and the last, and the CRM account with its renewal date and contacts. A success plan or agreed objectives, call transcripts, emails, support tickets, earlier reviews, and published roadmap notes add useful additional context where available. Without a success plan, the agent looks for goals in recorded calls; without recorded goals, it offers a labeled usage summary. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.

Can we change how the template works?

Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.

How long does it take to set up this template?

A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your business reviews.
