Frequently asked questions.
What is a customer success handoff agent?
It is a Trig agent set up to hand each won deal to customer success. Agents can be fully customized to work based on your own unique handoff signals, conditions, and situations. In this configuration, the agent works on deals marked closed won in the CRM and drafts the handoff within 24 hours. The agent checks what was sold, sorts every promise made in the sale, quotes why the customer bought, and drafts the intro call plan for your approval.
How does Trig know which promises need attention?
Agents can be configured to read the calls and emails across a deal and check each commitment against your records. In this template, each promise is sorted as in the contract, in the product, on the roadmap, or not deliverable, using the order form and your product docs and roadmap. Roadmap and not-deliverable promises come first. A promise the records can’t settle is marked unclassified, with who should check it.
What does the agent prepare for my team?
In this template, the agent is configured to deliver a handoff pack for each won deal that meets your targeting conditions. It opens with the contract value, term, dates, notice period, intro call due date, and promises that need attention. Then it shows why the customer bought in their words, who is who and who to meet first, what was sold across the order form, proposal, and CRM, the rollout they expect, and risks raised in the sale. It also drafts the intro call plan.
Will the agent contact the customer or share the pack without my approval?
No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the pack goes to the account manager as a draft, and Trig shares it with the customer success manager only once you approve it. The pack keeps every promise found in the records and shows roadmap items as Product’s plans.
What does the agent need access to?
The closed deal in the CRM, the signed order form, and call transcripts across the deal. The proposal, customer emails, security records, your product docs and roadmap, and the assigned customer success manager add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.
Can we change how the template works?
Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.
How long does it take to set up this template?
A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your won deals.
