How it works

How the agent analyzes won and lost deals.

The agent sets the customer’s stated reason beside what the record shows, and notes what to repeat or change.

  1. 01

Trig selects the deal for analysis.

Trig picks up each deal above the size you set when it closes, and has the analysis ready within five working days.

  2. 02

    Agent gathers data & evidence.

The deal’s stage and close-date history, recorded reason, contacts, call transcripts, customer emails, meetings, and the proposal.

  3. 03

    Agent builds the win-loss analysis.

Quotes the customer’s stated reason, finds the reason the records support, rebuilds the timeline, and writes questions for a win-loss conversation.

  4. 04

    You review and decide.

Decide what to repeat or change, and what to share with your manager, Product, and Marketing.

Configuration

How this agent manages deal win-loss analysis.

The data and records the agent needs access to in order to deliver the work, and where you want it delivered.

How this agent manages deal win-loss analysis.

  • What it reads

The closed deal in the CRM, with its stage and close-date history, recorded reason, and contacts, and the calls across the deal. Customer emails, meetings, the proposal, and your reason list add context where available.

  • Where the work lands

Full analysis on Trig, delivered as a direct message in your internal chat, such as Slack, to the account manager who owns the deal.

  • Your decisions

Your team decides what to repeat or change and what to share. Trig describes what happened in the deal and never rates the account manager. Agents access only records you allow and carry out only actions you approve.

Output

What the agent hands your team.

Why the deal closed, in the customer’s words and by the record, with a dated timeline, ready to read in under five minutes.

  1. 1Reasons. The customer’s words beside the reason the records support.
  2. 2Timeline. Each step of the deal, with its date.
  3. 3People. Who took part, and when they last engaged.
  4. 4Questions. What to ask, aimed at gaps in the record.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is a win-loss analysis agent?

It is a Trig agent set up to explain why each deal was won or lost. Agents can be fully customized to work based on your own unique win-loss signals, conditions, and situations. In this configuration, the agent works on deals above the size you set when they close, won or lost, and delivers within five working days. The agent quotes the customer’s stated reason, finds the reason the records support, and rebuilds the deal’s timeline.

How does Trig know why a deal was won or lost?

Agents can be configured to compare the reason recorded in the CRM with what the customer said on calls and in emails. In this template, the stated reason is the customer’s own words at the end of the deal. The reason on record comes from your team’s reason list, or a default list such as price, timing, or competitor chosen, with the evidence for it. Gaps in the record become open questions.

What does the agent prepare for my team?

In this template, the agent is configured to deliver an analysis for each closed deal that meets your targeting conditions. It opens with the outcome, amount, days from created to close, and the stated reason beside the reason on record. Then it gives a dated timeline, who took part and when they last engaged, what the customer said that pointed to the outcome, what worked or what to change, and five to seven questions for a win-loss conversation.

Will the agent contact the customer or judge the account manager?

No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the agent reads the closed deal, its calls, and emails, and changes no CRM field. It describes what happened in the deal, never rates the account manager, and never invents a quote or a reason. Your team decides what to share.

What does the agent need access to?

The closed deal in the CRM, with its stage and close-date history, recorded reason, and contacts, and the calls across the deal. Customer emails, meetings, the proposal, and your team’s reason list add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.

Can we change how the template works?

Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.

How long does it take to set up this template?

A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your closed deals.
