How it works

What the agent does when a demo ends.

After each demo, the agent drafts the follow-up email in your mailbox for your review: what mattered to them, open questions, and agreed next steps.

  1. 01

    The demo’s transcript is ready.

Trig picks up each demo on an open deal once its transcript is ready, and checks each Friday for demos still without a follow-up.

  2. 02

    Agent gathers data & evidence.

The call transcript, attendees and their email addresses, the deal in the CRM, and any follow-up you already sent.

  3. 03

    Agent builds the follow-up email.

Drafts the email in your mailbox, and writes you a note on blockers, competitors named, and people to involve next.

  4. 04

    You review, edit, and approve.

Edit and approve each email, or discard it, and Trig sends the emails you approve.

Configuration

How this agent manages demo follow-ups.

The data and records the agent needs access to in order to deliver the work, and where you want it delivered.

How this agent manages demo follow-ups.

  • What it reads

The demo’s call transcript and the calendar event with its attendees. Your sent email, the deal in the CRM, and any demo prep notes add context where available.

  • Where the work lands

The week’s draft queue on Trig, delivered as a link in your internal chat, such as Slack, with each email saved as a draft in your email provider, ready to send once approved.

  • Your decisions

Your team edits and approves each email, or discards it. Trig writes only what was said on the call and adds no new promise. Agents access only records you allow and carry out only actions you approve.

Output

What the agent hands your team.

Every demo this week accounted for, with a follow-up built on what the buyer said, ready to edit and approve in just a few clicks.

  1. 1Every demo. Each demo on your calendar is accounted for.
  2. 2Priorities. What needs attention first, with its source.
  3. 3Drafts. Each email waits in your drafts for you to edit and approve.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is a demo follow-up agent?

It is a Trig agent set up to draft the follow-up email after every demo. In this configuration, the agent works on demos held on open deals once their transcript is ready, with a Friday check for any demo still without a follow-up. The agent pulls what the buyer said mattered, lists open questions and agreed next steps, and saves a draft email in your mailbox for your review.

How does Trig know a demo needs a follow-up?

Agents can be configured to read your calendar, call transcripts, and sent email. In this template, a demo is a meeting on an open deal that is a product demo, a technical evaluation, or a trial kickoff. The agent skips a demo when an email to one of the buyer’s attendees went out after the call ended, and notes any demo with no transcript to draft from. Discovery calls, customer check-ins, and internal meetings get no draft.

What does a demo follow-up email include?

In this template, the agent is configured to deliver a follow-up email for each demo that meets your targeting conditions. Each draft covers the two or three things the buyer said mattered, in their words, what they saw that answered each, open questions with who owns the answer, and the next steps both sides agreed. A note above each draft lists any blocker, competitor named, or people to involve next, with the speaker and time in the call.

Will the agent email the buyer without my approval?

No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. Each follow-up is saved as a draft for you to review, edit, and approve before Trig sends it. The draft adds no new promise, never mentions a competitor, and includes a price, discount, or contract term only if it was stated on the call.

What does the agent need access to?

The demo’s call transcript and the calendar event with its attendees and their email addresses. Your sent email, the deal in the CRM, and any demo prep notes add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.

Can we change how the template works?

Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.

How long does it take to set up this template?

A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your demo follow-ups.
