How it works

What the agent does when a deal is flagged for you.

Each week, the agent ranks what is blocking each flagged deal and says whether you should step in and how, or stay out.

  1. 01

A deal is flagged for you.

Every Tuesday morning, Trig takes the deals your pipeline review shortlisted, or any deal you name, and inspects each one.

  2. 02

    Agent gathers data & evidence.

The deal and its close-date history, contacts, calls and emails, the proposal and contract state, the account manager’s notes, and your team’s quota.

  3. 03

    Agent builds the deal review.

Ranks what is blocking the deal, quotes the account manager’s plan, and recommends stepping in, with how and by when, or staying out.

  4. 04

    You review and decide.

Decide whether to step in, and agree with the account manager how they arrange the contact and lead the conversation.

Configuration

How this agent manages deals that may need you.

The data and records the agent needs access to in order to deliver the work, and where you want it delivered.

How this agent manages deals that may need you.

  • What it reads

The deal in the CRM with its close-date history and contacts, and Trig’s deal strategy brief for it. Calls, emails, the proposal and contract state, the account manager’s notes, and your team’s quota add context where available.

  • Where the work lands

Full inspection on Trig, delivered as a direct message in your internal chat, such as Slack, to the sales manager every Tuesday, or when you ask.

  • Your decisions

Your team decides whether to step in, how, and when. Trig recommends one way to help or staying out, and never suggests a price or discount. Agents access only records you allow and carry out only actions you approve.

Output

What the agent hands your team.

One deal, with what is blocking it and a recommendation to step in or stay out, ready to read in under three minutes.

  1. 1Recommendation. Step in or stay out, and the main reason.
  2. 2Blockers. What is blocking the deal, most serious first, with sources.
  3. 3Owner's view. The account manager’s own plan, quoted.
  4. 4Action. Who you’d speak to, by when, and how the owner stays in charge.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is a deal inspection agent?

It is a Trig agent set up to show you which deals need your help. Agents can be fully customized to work based on your own unique deal signals, conditions, and situations. In this configuration, the agent runs every Tuesday morning on the deals your pipeline review shortlists, and on any deal you name. The agent ranks what is blocking each deal, adds the account manager’s own view, and recommends stepping in, with how and by when, or staying out.

How does Trig decide whether I should step in?

Agents can be configured to weigh what is blocking a deal against what your involvement could change. In this template, the agent raises only blockers the records show, such as a signer who hasn’t engaged, one contact on the customer’s side, a close date that keeps moving, or a competitor the customer named. It recommends stepping in only where your help would remove a blocker. When the account manager has the right people engaged and a plan the customer agreed, it recommends staying out.

What does the agent prepare for my team?

In this template, the agent is configured to deliver a one-page inspection for each deal that meets your targeting conditions. It opens with the deal’s value, stage, close date and its moves, and its share of quota still to close. Then it gives a short recommendation, the blockers in order with the customer’s own words, and the account manager’s view. If you should step in, it names the action, the person at the customer, the date, and how the account manager stays the owner.

Will the agent contact the customer or recommend a discount?

No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the agent never recommends a discount, a price, or walking away, and changes no CRM field. If you step in, the account manager arranges the contact, knows before you reach out, and leads the conversation with the customer.

What does the agent need access to?

The deal in the CRM with its close-date history and contacts, and the deal’s strategy brief in Trig. Call recordings, emails, the proposal and contract state, the account manager’s notes, and your team’s quota add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.

Can we change how the template works?

Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.

How long does it take to set up this template?

A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your flagged deals.
