Frequently asked questions.
What is a pipeline review agent?
It is a Trig agent set up to review your sales team’s open pipeline every morning. Agents can be fully customized to work based on your own unique pipeline signals, conditions, and situations. In this configuration, the agent runs each morning, with a review pack on Mondays before your pipeline meeting. The agent lists what moved, flags deals that slipped or went quiet, checks pipeline against quota, and picks up to three deals where your help could remove what is blocking a deal.
How does Trig know a deal is in trouble?
Agents can be configured to check each deal against rules you set. In this template, a deal is flagged when it has had no logged activity for 14 days, or when its close date has moved three or more times. The agent notes other risks only where the records show them: no one with budget authority involved, one contact on the customer’s side, a competitor the customer named, or a large late-stage deal with no next step.
What does the agent prepare for my team?
In this template, the agent is configured to deliver a one-page review of the open deals that meet your targeting conditions. It opens with open pipeline, quota still to close, and deals slipped or flagged. Then it shows what moved, with the reason the records give for each slip, every flagged deal with its dates, and pipeline against quota for the team and each account manager. It ends with up to three deals where your help could remove what is blocking them, including any where an account manager asked.
Will the agent contact customers or change deals in the CRM?
No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the agent reads your team’s deals and changes no CRM field. It never ranks account managers against each other or estimates the probability of winning a deal. Your team decides where to step in.
What does the agent need access to?
Your team’s open deals in the CRM, with stage and close-date history, logged activity, and next steps, and quota for each account manager. Customer emails, call notes, and any win-rate report add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.
Can we change how the template works?
Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.
How long does it take to set up this template?
A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your team’s pipeline.
