Frequently asked questions.
What is a deal strategy agent?
It is a Trig agent set up to test each open deal against the evidence before your pipeline review. Agents can be fully customized to work based on your own unique deal signals, conditions, and situations. In this configuration, the agent briefs each open deal you own the afternoon before your weekly pipeline review, or whenever you ask. The agent tests the CRM stage against your stage definitions, ranks the risks to the close date, and names what must happen in the next two weeks.
How does Trig know if a deal is really at its stage?
Agents can be configured to compare each deal’s CRM stage with your team’s stage definitions and with what the customer has actually said and done. In this template, the agent marks a deal on track, ahead of its evidence, or behind it, and shows each condition with its source and date. Without stage definitions, the brief says the stage couldn’t be checked and covers the rest.
What does the agent prepare for my team?
In this template, the agent is configured to deliver a one-page brief for each deal that meets your targeting conditions. It opens with the amount, the CRM stage against the stage the evidence supports, days to the close date, and how often that date has moved. Then it covers who on the customer’s side is involved and when they last engaged, the risks most likely to stop the close, the one or two things that must happen in the next two weeks, and what changed since last week.
Will the agent contact the customer or change the deal?
No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the agent reads your records and changes nothing in the CRM. It gives no win probability, and it never recommends a discount, a price, or walking away. Your team decides the strategy and what to take to your manager.
What does the agent need access to?
The CRM deal with its stage, close-date history, and contacts, and your team’s stage definitions. Call transcripts, emails, calendar meetings, battlecards, and your won deals from the past year add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.
Can we change how the template works?
Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.
How long does it take to set up this template?
A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your open deals.
