Frequently asked questions.
What is a price increase review agent?
It is a Trig agent set up to check whether signed renewals kept the price increase their contracts set. Agents can be fully customized to work based on your own unique pricing signals, conditions, and situations. In this configuration, the agent reviews every renewal signed in the previous month, on the second working day of each month. The agent compares the contracted increase with the one kept, lists concessions beyond your approval rules with what they cost, and compares results by role.
How does Trig know a concession went beyond your approval rules?
Agents can be configured to compare each concession with your approval rules. In this template, a concession is an exception when it goes beyond what its approver may grant, or when the rules require an approval and none is recorded in the CRM. A concession within the approver’s limit is listed with the reason, even when the price is below the contract. Without approval rules, Trig says exceptions could not be assessed.
What does the agent prepare for my team?
In this template, the agent is configured to deliver a monthly review of the renewals that meet your targeting conditions. For each, it shows the increase the contract set, the increase kept in percent and dollars, any price below the current one, and the owner’s role. It lists each exception with its cost against the contract, compares results by segment and role once each group has 5 renewals, and puts questions to whoever owns your pricing rules.
Will the agent change a price or contact the customer?
No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the agent changes no price, quote, or CRM field, and measures each renewal only against its own contract. It writes each finding as a neutral fact, and your team decides what to change.
What does the agent need access to?
The renewals signed in the period in the CRM, with owner, segment, value before and after, and approver, the contracts with their price increase clauses, and your approval rules. Signed order forms, pricing policy, and renewal notes add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.
Can we change how the template works?
Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.
How long does it take to set up this template?
A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your renewal pricing.
