Frequently asked questions.
What is a close date slip agent?
It is a Trig agent set up to flag close dates that keep moving. Agents can be fully customized to work based on your own unique deal signals, conditions, and situations. In this configuration, the agent checks the open deals you own each morning and alerts you when a close date moves for the third time. The agent lists every move with its dates and the reason the records give for the latest one.
How does Trig know a close date keeps moving?
Agents can be configured to read each deal’s close-date history in the CRM. In this template, each change to the close date after the first date is set counts as a move. Trig alerts you at the first check after a new move takes the deal to three close-date changes. A deal already at three moves with no new move is listed in one line, with no new alert.
What does the agent prepare for my team?
In this template, the agent is configured to deliver an alert for each deal that meets your targeting conditions, at the first morning check after its close date moves a third time. It shows the deal’s stage and amount, then each move from date to date with the day it was made. It gives the reason the records hold for the latest move, with its source, or says none is recorded. On a morning with no new third move, it sends nothing and records that the check ran.
Will the agent contact the buyer or change the close date?
No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the agent reads your deals, notes, emails, and calls, and changes no close date or other CRM field. The alert goes only to the account manager who owns the deal, and your team decides how to question it.
What does the agent need access to?
The open deals you own in the CRM, with the close-date history on each. CRM notes, emails, and call transcripts add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.
Can we change how the template works?
Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.
How long does it take to set up this template?
A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your deals’ close dates.
