How it works

What the agent does when a deal goes quiet.

Each morning, the agent flags any open deal of yours that reaches 14 days without logged activity, with its value and next step.

  1. 01

A deal reaches 14 days without activity.

Trig checks your open deals each morning and flags a deal on the 14th calendar day since its last logged activity, weekends included.

  2. 02

    Agent gathers data & evidence.

The deal’s stage, amount, close date, and next step, its last logged activity, and recent emails, meetings, and calls with the buyer.

  3. 03

Agent builds the inactive deal alert.

Shows the last activity, flags a next step that is blank or late, and lists any contact with the buyer missing from the CRM.

  4. 04

    You review and decide.

Decide whether to re-engage the deal and choose the next step with the buyer.

Configuration

How this agent manages deals that have gone quiet.

The data and records the agent needs access to in order to deliver the work, and where you want it delivered.

How this agent manages deals that have gone quiet.

  • What it reads

The open deals you own in the CRM, with the activity logged on each. Your email, calendar, and recorded calls add context where available.

  • Where the work lands

Full alert on Trig, with each deal’s last activity, delivered as a direct message in your internal chat, such as Slack, to the account manager who owns the deal.

  • Your decisions

Your team decides whether to re-engage each deal. Trig reports the last activity and any unlogged contact, and leaves the reason for the silence to you. Agents access only records you allow and carry out only actions you approve.

Output

What the agent hands your team.

Every open deal that reached 14 days without activity this morning, with its last activity and next step, ready to read in under a minute.

  1. 1Last activity. The last thing logged on the deal, and how long ago.
  2. 2Not in the CRM. Contact with the buyer that was never logged, checked in your email, calendar, and calls.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is an inactive deal agent?

It is a Trig agent set up to flag deals that have gone quiet. Agents can be fully customized to work based on your own unique deal signals, conditions, and situations. In this configuration, the agent checks the open deals you own each morning and alerts you on the day a deal reaches 14 days with no logged activity. The agent adds the deal’s value, close date, and next step, and any contact with the buyer that the CRM is missing.

How does Trig know a deal has gone quiet?

Agents can be configured to read the activity logged on each deal in the CRM: calls, emails, meetings, and notes. In this template, the agent counts calendar days since the last logged activity, weekends included, and alerts on the morning a deal reaches 14. A deal that passed 14 days earlier is listed in one line, with no new alert. A deal with no logged activity at all is listed as not judged.

What does the agent prepare for my team?

In this template, the agent is configured to deliver an alert for each deal that meets your targeting conditions, on the morning it reaches 14 days without activity. It shows the stage, amount, close date, last logged activity, and next step, flagged if the next step is blank or late. Contact with the buyer that the CRM is missing is listed too. On a morning with no new deal at 14 days, it sends nothing and records that the check ran.

Will the agent contact the buyer or log activity for me?

No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the agent reads your deals, email, calendar, and recorded calls, and logs no activity and changes no CRM field. The alert goes only to the account manager who owns the deal, and your team decides how to re-engage.

What does the agent need access to?

The open deals you own in the CRM, with the activity logged on each. Your email, calendar, and recorded calls add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.

Can we change how the template works?

Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.

How long does it take to set up this template?

A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your open deals.
