How it works

How the agent checks progress against quota.

The agent works out whether you’re on pace for your number and whether open pipeline covers the gap at your own win rate.

  1. 01

    The Monday check begins.

Each Monday morning, Trig reads your closed and open deals and your quota, with a look back at won and lost deals each month.

  2. 02

    Agent gathers data & evidence.

Quota for each period, closed won and lost deals over four quarters, open deals with stage and close date, and meetings held.

  3. 03

    Agent builds the number check.

Works out attainment and pace, your own win rates with the deals behind each, and whether open pipeline covers the gap at your rate.

  4. 04

    You review and decide.

Decide what to do about the gap, which deals to protect, and what to share with your manager.

Configuration

How this agent manages your number.

The data and records the agent needs access to in order to deliver the work, and where you want it delivered.

How this agent manages your number.

  • What it reads

Your closed and open deals in the CRM, with stage, close date, and outcome, and your quota for each period. Meetings held and new deals created add context where available.

  • Where the work lands

Full number check on Trig, with the deals that decide the period, delivered as a direct message in your internal chat, such as Slack, every Monday morning.

  • Your decisions

Your team decides what to do about the gap and what to share with your manager. Trig works out every figure from your own records and shows each sum. Agents access only records you allow and carry out only actions you approve.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is a quota check agent?

It is a Trig agent set up to check whether you’re on pace for your number. Agents can be fully customized to work based on your own unique quota signals, conditions, and situations. In this configuration, the agent runs every Monday morning, with a look back at your won and lost deals each month. The agent works out attainment and pace, your own win rates, and whether your open pipeline covers the gap at your rate.

How does Trig know whether I’m on pace?

Agents can be configured to work out each figure from your own records. In this template, pace is closed-won revenue to date divided by the quota expected by this point (your quota × the share of the period gone), and 1.0 or more is on pace. Coverage is open pipeline closing in the period, converted at your own win rate. Rates come from your last two quarters, or four when two give too few deals, and fewer than 20 closed deals is marked as too few to rely on.

What does the agent prepare for my team?

In this template, the agent is configured to deliver a one-page check for the quota periods that meet your targeting conditions. It opens with attainment, pace, the remaining gap, and coverage at your own win rate. Then it shows whether the gap closes, with the sum, your own rates with the deals behind each, how your pipeline is spread and how long deals have sat in each stage, and meetings held. Each month it adds a look back at won and lost deals.

Will the agent share my number or change my deals?

No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the agent reads your deals and quota and changes no CRM field. The check goes only to you, and you decide what to share with your manager. It does not estimate the probability of winning a deal and shows an industry figure only as labeled context.

What does the agent need access to?

Your closed and open deals in the CRM, with stage, close date, and outcome, and your quota for each period. Meetings held and new deals created add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.

Can we change how the template works?

Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.

How long does it take to set up this template?

A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your number.
