Frequently asked questions.
What is a senior new hire agent?
It is a Trig agent set up to tell you when someone senior joins one of your accounts. Agents can be fully customized to work based on your own unique people signals, conditions, and situations. In this configuration, the agent checks the people at each account you own every morning and alerts you the first time the records show a new Chief, President, or vice president. The agent shows how Trig knows, whether your team has met them, and the account’s renewal date and value.
How does Trig know someone senior has joined?
Agents can be configured to read new-hire records from a people-data tool, and your emails, meetings, and calls. In this template, someone senior has a Chief, President, vice president, senior vice president, or executive vice president title, or a title on your team’s own list. They have joined when the records show they are new at the company. A contact who is only new in your CRM, or an existing contact who was promoted, is listed separately and raises no alert.
What does the agent prepare for my team?
In this template, the agent is configured to alert you the morning a senior new hire first shows in the records, for the accounts that meet your targeting conditions. In a morning with no new joiner, it sends nothing and records that the check ran. Each alert gives the person’s name, where the records give it, and title, the evidence that they joined and their start date, whether your team has met or emailed them, the account’s renewal date and value, and who you know best there.
Will the agent contact the new person?
No. Trig never contacts customers directly without express approval, which is controlled at the code level. In this template, the agent reads your records and drafts no introduction or outreach. The alert goes only to the customer success manager who owns the account, and your team decides whether and how to meet the new person.
What does the agent need access to?
The CRM accounts you own, with their contacts, titles, renewal dates, and value. New-hire records from a people-data tool, and your emails, meetings, and calls with each account, add useful additional context where available. In Trig, you choose which connected sources agents can read, and you approve whether each assignment may send messages or update records before it runs.
Can we change how the template works?
Yes. A template sets up the assignment: what to produce, which accounts it covers, when it runs, and which tools it can use. You review the plan before it runs, and you can edit its instructions, accounts, recipients, or timing at any time, or pause it.
How long does it take to set up this template?
A few clicks. Once the tools it reads from are connected to Trig, you can set up this template almost instantly, review its plan, and the agent starts work on your accounts’ senior new hires.
